erissiva: Appeared on our forums the day we launched, became the original meebo forum moderator, and has responded to hundreds of meebo user questions. He has his hands in lots of different web and graphic design projects and still manages to find time for meebo. Erissiva volunteered to create the meebo wiki, created the initial wiki design and format, and produced the original text and screenshots. Thanks erissiva! Here's what he looks like on vacation!

Jake_Watkins: Well I just try my best and do what I can to help the (somtimes frantic) voices of the users of meebo. I don't think than I am any different that any one else I just do what I can and that should be said about everyone. I just use the tools God gave me, there is no reason to not help others. Weakoz: Weakoz has been around for awhile and knows meebo like the back of his hand. He has spent time helping users with all sorts of problems. Just a question from Gary Bisaga: is there any capability for (let's say) “Spanish” to act as a base for “Spanish (Mexico)” so that we don't have to do completely different translations for each, only for the words that are different? I internationalize web applications as part of my job, and having that kind of base+modifications capability is hugely helpful.

  • Andy Palmer: I was chatting with a friend on Meebo (backwards) and thought it would make a good novelty language. Wrote a quick Perl script to translate the English and made a few changes by hand (replacing tokens and brackets). Could have done it with the script, but it didn't take long :-)

Then it's all yours ………..copy/paste wherever you want. I hope……..more & more people will join us………….. In spite of my hectic office work schedule, i am putting some extra hours.i am almost nearing to end(15 more to go).   • Tuntematon Muukalainen: Apparently, it's done. Someone else had already done most of the translation, I just adapted some terms to those that are used in the ordinary Windows platform translation. Even when they are not the most correct, these are the terms people are used to see, and it will improve usability. Also, I have done some form and semantics correction (you see, many of the sentences were in plain Brazilian Portuguese, others mixed formal and informal speech…). I didn't want to be the only one stating it, but I think it is complete.
  • mvaz: new phrases translation. I hope that someone else can revise it.
  • Tuntematon Muukalainen: revised translation of the new phrases. As for me, it's done. Having problems translating IM, because it's a term that portuguese-speakers don't use (it's just “message”)…
